The Safer Neighbourhood Team is a collaborative group headed by the Police which invites Matlock Bath, Cromford, Bonsall, Matlock and Darley Dale to prioritise their concerns regarding anti-social or nuisance behaviour, graffiti or vandalism, speeding, parking or anything which you feel impacts on the quality of life for you and your neighbours.
The team meets quarterly, usually in the evening. There has been considerable success in dealing with trouble spots in the area as the resources of the Police are concentrated on the one which has been given priority. Bad behaviour by youngsters in Cromford and a subsequent problem which spread to Matlock Bath has now been settled.

An e-forum (e-mail forum) is available which will give you the chance to contribute to the setting of priorities in your neighbourhood.
The aim of the e-forum is to make it easier for you to have a say on priorities. Simply let the Parish Council know what you would like the team to target. Your concerns will be sent to the Matlock Bath area Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team and they will discuss all response at their next forum meeting.
All of the teams work in partnership with local agencies including the Parish Council, District & County Councils, housing associations, Derbyshire Youth Service, Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service, Neighbourhood Watch among others, to help keep your area a safe, clean and pleasant place to live.
The SNT will listen to your concerns, act on them and maintain their commitment to provide a high quality policing service to everyone in the Derbyshire Dales.

The Parish Council has decided to no longer send a representative regularly to these meetings. If any resident has concerns about issues in the village, please do let us know and we will endeavour to send a representative but we will only send a representative should any resident raise an issue with us.
